EUROPAPA's Nitrile Gloves is now a ClimatePartner Certified Product for the period from Mar. 2024 to Mar. 2025). Which would it take to become a ClimatePartner Certified Product?
First of all, the carbon footprint of this specific product should be tracked and calculated based on the production, processing, and logistics of raw materials, precursors, and packaging, transport to retail, emissions from sources not directly attributable to products (e.g. employee commuting), and treatment at the end of the product life cycle.
And after that, a certified climate project will be financed for the resulting carbon footprint amount (CO2-equivalents) in order to achieve carbon neutral.
Through EUROPAPA's participation in this initiative, an improved cookstoves project from the far east, located in Maharashtra of India, has received our financial support indirectly through ClimatePartner. Moreover, 25,467 kg CO2 has been offset through this action.
